  • Our family is originally from the Portland area so when my Uncle passed in September of 2011 the family used Wilhelm's for his arrangements. They were professional, caring and reasonable in their pricing.

So when my Dad passed away in April of 2017 in Arizona, we immediately called Michael and he loving cared for every detail lifting a load of burden off our shoulders at a time of deep sorrow! With excellence he handled everything from arrangements to care for the body in Phoenix and having it shipped to Portland (arranging the flight and letting us know so family could travel with his body) to going the extra mile and contacting the local fire department for extra pall bearers we requested.(my Dad was a retired fire fighter)(such a memorable part of his burial to have those firefighters there!)
His explanations regarding needed products & services were kind, clear and extremely fair and we are SO GRATEFUL for how we were treated in a time when we could have easily been taken advantage of because of our sorrow. Thank you Wilhelm's, and especially Michael, for your integrity and generosity in serving our family. We deeply appreciate it! May God continue to bless you for your excellent service!

  • Having delt with a few different Funeral Homes in the past, I'm especially grateful to the staff at Wilhelm's for their compassion and professionalism. My experience here has been heads above the rest. I'd especially like to thank Laura and Patti for their kindness, good humor and flexibility during a difficult time.

26 years ago, my in-laws pre-paid for two small niches for themselves. My father-in-law died 10 years ago where he lived with us in Louisiana. His ashes were interred in his niche. No additional charge. We are now back from Louisiana for a few days with our whole family trying to inter my mother -in-law's ashes. These new owners, not the kind family who we dealt with 10 years ago, want to NOW charge us $695 to open a damn tiny door to put in the urn. WTF. The manager was so rude to my wife. She is not kind or a humanist and needs to find a new line of business. I wish I could pull my wife's father and HIS parents out of that place. My wife and I planned to be with them someday and had a nice chat with the family owners about fitting us in above my on laws for a nominal fee. NOT. I'm livid. We were treated like dirt today in front of my children and grandchildren.

  • Staff is friendly, helpful, and wonderful to work with. We had an unexpected passing in our family and they responded with a pickup within the hour. The planning was easy and they were no hiccups along the way. Thank you for being there and being so helpful.
