  I am new to St. Stephens. The church as been open for over a century. Today it comprises a gentle congregation of people from diverse backgrounds, who are friendly, (but not overwhelmingly so.)
  One of their missions is to help those in need. On the last Thursday of each month the sanctuary is opened to about 350 souls who receive food, through a Basket program. It is organized around the Oregon Food Bank and the church's outreach program. Recipients and church members are encouraged to volunteer. Also more programs.
  The Episcopalian services at St. Stephens are reverent and heartfelt and I love them. And their classical choir is wonderful. Sings Sunday, 10:30 am. I would recommend this downtown church to anyone.
