  • Lots of civilians go to a number of different of churches all over the world, and each church is different. But when me and my Mom and Dad went church searching and walked into Portland Pentecostals....it was great. Of course at first I was nervous, but just after a couple of visits my family and I were at home. The picture is not quite current though. Pastor Hanson even welcomes every visitor BY NAME and with a smile. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly, and you can literally feel the prescence of God everytime you walk in the doors. After 7-8 years of attending Portland Pentecostals, this church feels like home. This church is not just for adults, for teens there are monthly youth services, tuesday hang-outs and bible study, and a lot more. For kids/toddlers there is Sunday school and Tuesday class, and also a lot more. Chemical abuse classes, college and career classes, and other activities and classes for every age. To me a church is more than just a building people go to so they can ease their guilty conscience. A church sould be a second home, a place where you feel loved and comfortable, a place where the spirit of our Lord, Jesus Christ is abundant and the Holy Ghost is present, all of things you will find at Portland Pentecostals.

  • the photo is really not up to date ....looking for a church was a little tiring, but when we walked into this place- me my wife and 3 kids-12,9,5- we were greeted (with a smile) and just felt welcome. there are alot of activities for all ages, kids teens college and carrer ages as well as adult classes, discipleship classes, chemical dependency... just alot going on. most of all the worship was actually like the meant it. their god is alive and it shoms by the presence of god there. definitly found a church i can get closer to god that's multi-cultural, and my family can be a part of. awesome!!

  • I have been in Pentecost for 24 years, I have been to a lot churches as a Saint, Minister and visitor. I also was Pastor of 3 churches all home missions churches (Start up churches) I know a lot of ministers and Pastors. Brother Steve Hanson is one of best Pastors I have ever met. But that is not reason I go there,
I go because God's there, the people are wonderful, the services exciting and programs for everyone, Sunday School, Youth, College and Career, Life in Focus Program for people in need of help with addictions, anger, family and court ordered dependency programs and much more. It's all free not like other that charge 100's it free and it works.
You will meet people from all over the world here. To hear a choir of France speaking or different language is awesome. I feel like a new born baby, each time I go always something different and exciting. Thank You Jesus for Portland Pentecostals and it's wonderful people of God. You'l feel at home, no matter who or what you are or think you are. We love everyone.
    Brother Jim
