  • While I don't attend services here, I live across the street. The bells are a great thing to listen to when you are around town. Also, the little park they have next to the church is a great place to relax and read a book on a warm summer day. If we were Anglican, we would totally attend here.

Not a welcoming place for a British-American mom and her children. After a few visits I did not feel this to be a safe place to raise my daughter or gay son. I am from the UK and I have worshiped as an Anglican all my life, I could never have envisaged a parish so stuck in time on gender inequality and anti-gay attitudes. My daughter who is a teenager would like to become a priest after university, but the clergy had no words for her interest. The Church of England has had women as vicars since the 1970's. Why not this little "Anglican" parish? Even more interesting is the outdated service liturgy- back in England we do not use this archaic liturgy, rather we use the modern British English for worship, I mean really, if the Archbishop of Canterbury does not even pray like this why are these men? "Thee" and "Thou" is Shakespeare theater, not the living Church. 1920? Why not the 1549 edition, Kramer's original.

  • Though this is considered to be a very "high church", the parishioners and clergy are very warm and inviting and are always willing to lend a hand to explain the liturgy to anyone interested. I have been attending here for several years now and have fallen completely in love with this church. Everyone speaks highly of their churches so anyone giving you advice to come to their church should always be taken with a grain of salt, but honestly this place is a little gem. I'm always surprised there isn't a line going out the door!

  • As an Episcopalian seeking info and follow-on - Father was very, very nice and helpful to me! I ended up being transferred to the East coast. I worked in England for three years and attended there. St Marks follows the High Church or "easy to follow" if you are from UK!!
