  I hope the owners will beef up on their bookkeeping service duties. I paid both of our plans in full, early. I got an immediate receipt of payment. However, Neptune failed to contact the automatic payment service, so that service continues to collect from my account. Now they owe me. I don't recommend the automatic payment reduction clause.
  
  Update:. I need to say good things about the swiftness of the "fix" for the cancellation of additional automatic charges on our paid in full account. Neptune heard me, and responded as soon as they heard, although i got the quickest response by writing to them. I was told that if a client calls the office to make a closing payment, instead of using the internet payment option, they will get accurate accounting methods.

  After paying on this plan for 31 months, to prevent my son from having undue expenses at my passing, I find that if i try to amend the plan to remove the so called travel protection portion, this company still wants to collect $282 more dollars to provide any kind of cremation service. This would m ean that I paid $2100 for a simple cremation. Their customer service people are just short of outright rude, and one of them actually hung up on me, before I got upset. Can not recommend them, will not recommend them, and am filing a complaint with our State Attorney General Consumer Affairs. Their business practices are deceptive at best, outright fraudulent at worst.

  My mother passed away in January. She had make prearrangement for cremation with this company. It took them several days to pick up her remains, then several more days to perform her cremation. Then several more days to give me the information I need to know where her remains were to be buried at the VA cemetery in Portland. The amount of effort and communication with the grieving family was very UNDERWHELMING. In addition they continue to send advertisements to my home in my mothers name!!!!! NO SENSITIVITY WHAT SO EVER.

  Neptune has been by far THE WORST experience I have ever encountered. No one answers your phone calls, regardless of numerous messages left. The only person you can ever get ahold of is out of an answering center who have limited knowledge. My grandmother pre-paid her cremation and purchased her urn in hopes to lessen the pain of going through this process when she passed. Neptune has informed my family that there is still a remaining balance of $800 after the already pre-paid $1500 my grandmother had givin them. This place is a scam and they have horrible business practices. All they care about it money. In no way do I believe that they box they gave us cost $1500. Under unfortunate circumstances, my family delt with the passing of my Uncle and worked with a place that charged us a fourth of the price that Neptune is trying to charge and we're much nicer. This place has made the passing of my grandmother more difficult than it needs to be. They refuse to refund the money and take back the box which is still fully packaged the way we received it. It's safe to say that I will NEVER recommend Neptune to anyone. My heart goes out to grieving family's that have had to deal with Neptunes terrible services.

  My parents each purchased a plan from Neptune several years ago. When my father passed 3 years ago I found the staff to be courteous and respectful. Everything was just as my father told me it would be, place one phone call and everything will be taken care of. Now with my mother in hospice care I feel certain that when that time is upon us Neptune will provide the same level of service as they did with my dad.
  I thank them for providing fast, courteous and professional service in my family's time of need.
